Changes to the Institutional Business team

As part of Sun Life Global Investments’ continued growth and expansion, we are pleased to announce two exciting changes to our Institutional Business.

Satwik Misra, CFA, MBA is taking on the newly created role of Director, Consultant Relationships & Business Initiatives. In this role, he will focus on strengthening relationships with consulting firms, manager research departments and advisory firms by providing in-depth investment material, ensuring their ongoing support and awareness of new products. He will collaborate with regional directors and business development teams to drive client retention and create new sales opportunities. In addition, he will support strategic and business objectives aligning key initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to drive desired business outcomes.

Satwik is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience in the investment and group retirement savings industry. He joined Sun Life Global Investments in 2020 in the role of Director, Business Development & Client Relationships, where he was responsible for business development and client relationship management for our growing institutional asset management business in Ontario, while at the same time deepening relationships with strategic partners. 

At the same time, we would like to welcome Farzan Qureshi, MBA, who has stepped into the role of Director, Business Development & Client Relationships, covering the Ontario market. Based in Toronto, he is responsible for business development and client relationship management for our growing institutional asset management business in Ontario. He will liaise with plan sponsors, consultants and group advisors to promote our offerings and services to our Clients, further developing and building new relationships.

Farzan brings over 20 years of experience in the institutional business, most notably from his tenure at a leading investment firm where he advanced through senior roles and contributed significantly as a key member of the retirement solutions team.  He brings a wealth of investment knowledge, extensive experience working with plan sponsors, and a deep understanding of the unique Canadian market. We are thrilled to have him join our team.
